Keogh’s Touching the looking glass

As I read through the Keogh’s Touching the looking glass, I rethink about my mobile games on my phone. I have an angry bird and different Roll Playing Games on my phone. I’ve never thought that I was playing and touching the glass when I played the game on my phone. However, I was touching the glass and play the game on my phone. In my perspective, the mobile game is useful and better than a video game. Because if someone tries to play a video game, he or she needs to buy joystick, X-box, and different video game technologies.

However, if you want to play the mobile game, you don’t have to pay money to buy joystick nor X-box. The player can easily download the app with one touch and in 5second, you can play the game! Also, you can play the mobile game in any place at any time. You don’t need a big screen to play a mobile game. Also, you can do multiple things while you play. Personally, I listen to my favorite music playlist while I play the mobile game. Also, I play a mobile game when I call my mom.

The mobile game has many advantages, but it also has obvious disadvantages. The obvious disadvantages of the mobile game are that it cannot produce a complex game. This is because of the limited storage for a mobile phone. Complex and visually great games need a lot of storage to store their complex programming system. Another disadvantage is the addiction to the mobile game. This is the situation that advantage part of the mobile game become the disadvantageous points. You can carry your cell phone anywhere, anytime, but it can be a problem for the game addicted person. It allows them to play more anytime, anywhere. However, I agree that mobile game is better than playing a video game because it saves more money to play.

I like how you look at mobile games but in my opinion they are dramatically less exciting than a PC, xbox, or playstation game simply because it is free and I think the reason they are so enticing is because they help pass time when you’re out in the world and it is just something to do other than just sitting there staring at the wall. -Also, I completely understand what you’re saying about mobile addiction since it is quick and easy to pull out but on most games now, they are just riddled with ad’s that hinder my expereience with them and I’m quicker to uninstall them after the first ad pops up simply because it takes me out of the game, but, with a paid game on a console you don’t see ads which is what keeps me more in the gaming mode.

Both of you make some good points. While mobile games may be free and does not require all the accessories that a video game may require it has its advantages. Mobile games have an immediacy to them — download them and play them within a matter of seconds for free. Likewise, video games once bought can be played without interruptions. Video games have that advantage over mobile games.
